Three-day Training on Minimum Service Delivery Standards for Category 1 and 2A Hospitals

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission Successfully Concludes Three-Day Training on Minimum Service Delivery Standards for Batch-17.

The Directorate of Quality, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive three-day training program on the implementation of Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS). This training was conducted for the 17th Batch of Category I & II A Health Care establishements. Participants from four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, namely Peshawar, Nowshera, Mansehra, and Buner. The event took place at the Khyber Institute of Child Health in Hayatabad, Peshawar, from September 26th to 28th, 2023

The training commenced with recitation of verses Holy Quran, followed by a brief introduction of KP HCC and MSDS by Deputy Director Quality

During the course of the three days, the trainers covered ten essential functional areas of MSDS, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of these standards:

  1. Responsibility of Management (ROM)
  2. Human Resource Management
  3. (HRM) Information Management System (IMS)
  4. Facility Management and Safety (FMS)
  5. Care of Patients (COP)
  6. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
  7. Access Assessment and Continuity of Care (AAC)
  8. Patients’ Rights and Education (PRE)
  9. Management of Medication (MOM)
  10. Hospital Infection Control (HIC)

A total of 24 participants, including doctors, managers, clinicians, nurses, and pharmacists, attended the training from the following hospitals:

  • North West General Hospital & Research Center, Peshawar
  • Taj Medical Center, Nowshera
  • Muhammad Islam Surgical Hospital,
  • Nowshera Kulsoom National Hospital, Buner
  • Rizwan Medical Complex & Teaching Hospital, Peshawar
  • Ibrahim Welfare Maternity Hospital, Peshawar
  • Naseem Surgical Center
  • Mansehra Darul Shifa Surgical Center & Maternity Home, Nowshera

The training concluded on a high note with the distribution of certificates among the participants by the Deputy Director of Quality, KP-HCC.
